Innovation born from nostalgia
Do you remember the first time you saw a floppy disk? Was it the big, clunky 5-inch one, or the smaller version with its massive 1.44MB capacity? Boxes and boxes of numbered disks just to install a piece of software... And then came CDs! A revolution measuring 12 centimeters in diameter with 700MB of storage!
That was almost 30 years ago.
The question remains: what do we do now with these products that were once so useful and so beloved? Where does that keyboard go after it swallowed a key forever? Or the hard drive that kept those precious vacation photos all to itself?
Since we at Rede Asta love a challenge, we decided to answer these questions in our own way, by investing in creativity and generating business opportunities for artisans.
The request came from Recicladora Urbana and the mission was to create a line of products made from electronic waste with low recycling value. To do this, we brought together a team of designers and material experts consisting of Matéria Brasil, Odyssey , Zyklus and the Mãos Brasil artisan group.
