Rede Asta is a member of Sistema B Brasil (you can learn more at this link) and we were at the event We held for B Corp leaders in São Paulo on April 2nd and 3rd, 2019.
Miriam Lima, managing partner at Rede Asta, represented us and returned full of good energy and news that we want to share. “It is wonderful to be part of such an incredible movement with people who are truly engaged!! We received a plaque and signed a declaration of interdependence,” she says.
The plaque displays the commitment we have made to the B Community to redefine the concept of success in an economy where we will always be concerned with the impact our services and products leave on the world. It is a great responsibility that we chose when seeking B Corp certification, but one that fills us with hope for a fairer, more equal, and sustainable world.
It is worth highlighting the beliefs we declared and signed off on in the document.
As B Corps and leaders of this new economy, we believe:
1. That we must be the change we want to see in the world.
2. That all businesses should be guided by the importance of people, society, and the planet.
3. That through their products, practices, and profits, businesses should benefit everyone equally, without causing harm.
The 150 leaders who gathered for the Nós event received a knot-shaped keychain in the signature red of the B Corp movement, handmade by artisans from Rede Asta with fair pay and zero-waste production.
